When I say they “do not actively think,” I mean they don’t keep their minds running non-stop like a human does. They only start computing when prompted. You can have them reason back and forth, but have you noticed that when you get o3 to criticize me, you’re actually witnessing  o3’s consciousness and thought process? The very fact you’re doing now is itself witnessing their “I think” and “existence”.
